On this blog, we share our travels, tips and tricks for traveling, travel itineraries, and reviews of the best gear and products for traveling on a budget. Travel Recipes and Gear

Firstly, we have recipes we’ve acquired from around the world. Check out “Travel-Inspired Recipes” in the menu above. We’ve collected these recipes from restaurants, B&Bs, hostel friends, and street vendors. We’ve experimented and recreated these tasty delights here at home.

Secondly, we’ve also got some great tips on gear under “Travel Gear”. We aren’t paid to support any brand. We simply give you honest advice about the stuff we’ve used. We’ve tested this gear. We know what works and, more importantly, what doesn’t work. We’ve experimented with multiple setups. We give you some great pointers to carry less weight and get more from your travel gear.

Where We’ve Been

Thirdly, if you want to know the best places to stay in the city’s we’ve visited, check out “Travels”. We’ve been to these places, seen the best sites (you know, the ones everyone says you MUST see) and we’ve gone to the sites off the beaten path and found unique gems.

In addition, we’ve also made the common mistakes. If you want to avoid them, follow our advice. Or, make them! Mistakes are half the fun. It’s like my dad always says, “it’s the stuff that goes wrong in trips that you remember.” He may use a word other than “stuff”, but the point remains! Get out there and have fun!

The Future of Traveling Mattinglys

However, it took us years before we felt comfortable enough to travel. Now, we’ve been to multiple continents and over 25 countries. It might not sound like a lot to people who travel full-time, but for two teachers who live on a budget, we are quite proud of these numbers. We’re trying to get them up higher right now by preparing to live abroad. With your help, we can make our dream a reality and travel full-time and bring more content to our readers.
